The heart of the Timeline Generator is the algorithm, which computes the position of the logos along the timeline on the fly based upon the user's configuration. This algorithm allows users to make changes to the individual periods along the timeline and see the results of their changes immediately.

What is the Timeline Generator?

The Timeline Generator gives users the ability to create a graphical timeline in HTML and XML formats. Users can use the output by the Timeline Generator on their web sites, for web-based presentations, burn to CD, send via email, and more.

The first purpose of the Timeline Generator is being used for building resumes and bios for individuals. However, the Timeline Generator can be used to show anything which includes the variable of time. For example, the history of a company, the history of the United States, major events of a person's life, an artist's portfolio, and more.

Main Features

Timeline:

• Format page background color
• Format font face & size
• Select the number of years each page of the timeline should show
• Upload audio/video for users to hear and/or see (i.e. can create an audio or video introduction)
• Show picture of a person
• Allow viewers to filter by description type (i.e. view work experience, education, honors, activities, skills, certifications one at a time on the timeline)

Period Detail:

• Format border color and body color
• Link to company website
• Upload period logo
• Create different period types: work experience, education, honors, certifications, skills, and activities
• Upload audio / video for users to hear and/or see more about that period
• Upload up to 10 files associated with a period (i.e. sample of contract you created during that period; sample of photos during that period; etc.)

Introduction Letter:

• Can create an introduction letter (cover letter) which viewers can read
